I Got The Itch to Paint Again!

I really love art and I have been drawing since I was kid. It’s a very absorbing activity. However, I haven't been touched my paint brush for years because of other priorities. Thanks to MSU-IIT Halongkulay Visual Artist, I got the itch to paint again. (I was preparing for my first visual art exhibit together with Halongkulay artist, sponsored by Iligan City Government.)

My first mentors are the artists of ALAB (Association of Local Artist of Bukidnon), they helped me to understand more the meaning of art to our life.

Like a lot of things, painting doesn’t really involve luck. I always try and pull in some luck, but the reality is, you have to know what you are doing; the luck sometimes will show up, but it generally isn’t anything to hang your hat on. You have to know the rules and understand the materials.

I enjoy painting. It may well be an obsolete practice, but the experience of painting, is worth more than the finished piece.

Here are my paintings for Halongkulay Global Warming Art Exhibit (December 2009)
